Our Physicians

Lucila Velez, MD

Dr. Lucila Velez has been a board certified pediatrician since 1984.  She earned her degree in medicine from Central University of Madrid, Spain.  She completed her pediatrics residency at Presbyterian Hospital and Puerto Rico Medical Center in Santurce, Puerto Rico.  Dr Velez is a vivacious and charismatic physician who brings an affectionate and caring ambiance to the practice.  Although she recently retired, she continues to work occasionally at Tri-County Pediatrics.  She is very proud of the practice which she helped to develop, and the practice remains grateful to her always.

Dr. Velez is a member of the Georgia AAP and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

She is married and has three children and 10 grandchildren.  Dr. Velez is retired from the U.S. Army, with 20 years of service.  She enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren.


Sushila Mathew, MD

Dr. Sushila Mathew has been a board certified pediatrician practicing pediatrics since 1986.  She earned her degree in medicine from Christian Medical College, Vellore, India.  She completed her pediatrics residency at Mt. Vernon Hospital in NY and at TC Thompson Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  Having completed a fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, she brings a valuable expertise and wealth of knowledge to the practice.  She is well-renowned as the favorite pediatrician of numerous children and parents in South Atlanta.  It is this popularity that Dr.Mathew has which brought recognition to Tri-County Pediatrics with the Henry County Consumer’s Choice Award.  The practice is truly indebted to her for the strong foundation she has created.

She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Georgia AAP.

She is married and has two children and 3 grandchildren. She is fond of traveling, reading and spending time with her family.


Purna Chadalawada, MD

Dr. Purna Chadalawada has been a board certified pediatrician in practice since 1994.  She earned her degree in medicine from Kurnool Medical College, India.  After gaining unique post-graduate experience in pediatrics and neonatology in Dublin, Ireland, she moved to the United States.  She subsequently completed her pediatrics residency at Children's Hospital University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.  Dr. Chadalawada is affectionately referred to as Dr. Chada by her patients. She strives to be meticulous in her work and is well versed in appropriate pediatric guidelines and policies needed to help the practice succeed.

Dr. Chada is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the Georgia AAP and the American Academy of Physicians of Indian origin.

She is married and has two children.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and reading.


Kathie Brichant, MD

Dr. Kathie Brichant has been a board certified pediatrician practicing pediatrics since 2001.  She earned her degree in medicine from Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, Georgia.  She also completed her pediatrics residency at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia.  Dr. Brichant is very attentive to the concerns of all her patients.  She has a profoundly deep desire to help her patients and cares immensely about each of them.  Her adolescent patients feel especially comfortable with her as she guides them carefully into a healthy adulthood.

Dr. Brichant is a member of the Georgia AAP and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

She is married and enjoys traveling the "globe" with her husband.  In her spare time, she volunteers with Animal Rescue, and spoils her dogs and cats.


Gerren Ector, MD

Dr. Gerren Ector is a native of Trinidad and Tobago. She moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2001 to attend Spelman College where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then went on to obtain her Medical Degree from Morehouse School of Medicine to fulfill her dreams of becoming a pediatrician by completing her pediatric training at the Morehouse Community Residency Program in Atlanta, GA.

Dr. Ector is passionate about her community and has been involved in numerous community service events throughout the Atlanta area which she enjoys thoroughly. She is a board certified pediatrician.

Her interests involve traveling, reading and spending time with her family.


Manjit Singh, MD

Dr. Manjit Singh completed her undergraduate degree at Mercer University and her doctorate of medicine at Ross University School of Medicine. After receiving her doctorate of medicine, Dr. Singh completed her pediatric internship and her pediatric residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center. She is a board certified pediatrician.

Dr. Singh is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association. Dr. Singh is fluent in English and Hindi/Punjabi.


Sridevi Gowravaram, MD

Dr. Sridevi Gowravaram is a board certified pediatrician who was first certified in 2006. She earned her degree in medicine (M.B.B.S) from Gandhi Medical College, which is located in India. After earning her degree, she worked in the United Kingdom to continue her education. In the United Kingdom, she earned a diploma in child health and became a Pediatrics degree from the Royal College of Physicians.

After concluding her training in the United Kingdom, she moved to the United States to begin practicing. She has a special interest in children with Autism and ADHD. She is focused on a holistic approach to children's health, with a particular emphasis on her patients' developmental environment.  She feels that it is very important to understand the environment in which the child is raised and grown similar to plants.

Firm believer in, if we all communicate, collaborate and problem solve along with the children then only a child is successful in a global society.

She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a fellow of the Georgia chapter.

Bhavana Nagareddy, MD

Dr. Bhavana Nagareddy is a general pediatrician that started practicing at Tri County Pediatrics in August 2023. She did her Pediatrics Residency training at Morehouse School of Medicine. She has been in Georgia since 2000; attended University of Georgia for undergraduate studies and completed her medical school education at Morehouse School of Medicine. She enjoys photography, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite part about Pediatrics is the ability to help children and their families; the variety of ages; and providing excellent preventative care.
